Default Questions about chapters sticky?

Would it be a good idea to have a sticky thread about chapters? I know this might be kinda soon to do it since GW isnt even out yet. I was just thinking it would be a good idea because I'm sure later on many people will have some questions about the chapters of GW. It just occured to me that most people probably have no clue what will be in the next chapters but do you guys think its a good idea to have one anyway?

For instance I'm wondering if the spell slots will ever be increased? In the later chapters I know new spells will be added, but there are only 8 slots. I would hope with the newly added spells would be more slots available. I know it???s limited to 8 for PvP balance reasons but what about in PvE? I find just having 8 spells isn't enough.

You mean your only aloud 8 spells MAX?! That sucks! Mind telling me some shit, seen as you seem to know more about the game than me

Well, one more thing I guess...a few more...How many skill points do I get per level, and do I have to pick a second class? What are the advantages to not picking if you dont have to...someone mind explainging the level up system, and how you get skill points. Also! What are the points you use to put into like, soul preaping and death magic? Do you put it to death magic, or do you put it into things inside of that section? Like summon bone feind er whatever?

I'm not to sure if you have to pic a second class or not. Actually I dont think it forces you but I think its a lot better to have 2 classes than 1. For one you get more spells. Even though you can only have 8 out at a time. I'm not to sure how many skill point you get per level it might depend what level your at. The points you use to add Death Magic and what not are attribute points. Different classes all have different attributes. And you only put the points in Death Magic, not in the actual spells. I dont even think the spells are able to level up.

8 Spells out at a time? Or 8 that you can learn in all?

Out at a time. You can learn tons of spells. I'm sure the chapters will enable you to learn even more. That why I want more than 8 out at a time.

This is what your spell bar looks like. It is only able to hold 8 spells at a time, when in town you can change it though. You cant change spells while outside of town though.

Its not like your gonna need that many...although, being an elementalist er a Necro, you would need a lot of spells...I think im gonna be a necro, and go death magic, but I dont understand, what do sub-classes do? Pro's and Cons? Or is it just straight pro's, and when do you get your sub class/ how powerful does it get?

Your secondary class get the exact same strength as your primary. Unless you give more points to a different attribute. A secondary class enables you to have more spells and more attributes. The spell bar that I posted above is half Necro and Warrior.

The only problem with wanting 1 class is that its only for PvE. I just remember in PvP you MUST have 2 classes. I now remember it not letting me only have 1.

Yes, it is better to have 2 classes because you can mix and match for all sorts of results that can make your character much better than if you were only 1 class. I think that 8 slots is enough....but maybe that just me cuz im going to be a Ranger/Necro

You would think the game would MAKE it so you have to go PvP huh? But either way, maybe ill go like...Necro/something, but I dont want to waste my points on leveling up the sub class shit seen as someone told me you only get 200 atribute points er whatever...which sucks. Is 200 enough to max out two sections? Soul reaping and Death magic?

Hello all

This topic is neither suggestion nor question. In addition, this topic has gotten so off-topic, with such strange, baffling answers that I simply can't allow it to continue any longer. No, you're not forced to have only one profession in PvP, and yes, there is a slight difference in attributes between primary and secondary professions.

Please, all of you, read all of the guides in the New Players Center, including the link that Davion provided, before trying to answer questions from other beginners new to Guild Wars. It would save a lot of time in having to dispel incorrect assumptions later.

Thank you,
Aria

a) 200 points is enough for you to get to level 12 for two attributes, with 6 points to spare. (lvl 12 of one attribute costs 97 points)

b) Skill numbers should not be increased because someone who can't competently select a working build whine about it. Also, this is a team-oriented game and they don't expect you to have enough skills to beat the game all own yourself.

c) Your primary class attributes may recieve extra attribute level(s) if you have runes that you can put into your armors. Secondary profession attributes cannot be boosted by runes. That is one of the main difference between a primary and secondary profession.
